The Difference Between Solar Power And Solar Heating

Regarding the difference between solar power and solar heating, normally it depends upon the geographical location of the earth to be precise countries, and the exposure to the Sunlight, many people have the wrong conception that solar means only it related to heat.

But I like to clarify that both the products of sunlight are useful, at the time of production of electricity only the light is used because the material used here is photovoltaic, it means the valance electrons of the material is sensitive to the light, and the flow of electrons is nothing but the flow of electricity in the opposite direction.

when it comes to water heaters the intensity of heat in the light is used, there is three type of water heaters in general first one is a flat plate collector, FPC here the copper tubes are used to heat the water, along with black coating because the black color absorbs the heat.

The second one is Evacuated tube collector ETC water heaters, here the technology used is with glass tubes over each other the inner tube is coated with silicon copper and the materials which are fast conductors of heat, along with black color, now one more tube is placed over it and in between there will be a vacuum, this vacuum is created so that heat requires a medium to travel when the heat reached the inner tube it will heat the coated inner surface and this heat is arrested inside by vacuum and this will keep on heating the water in contact, now this hot water will carry the heat to the tank and the water in the tank will get heated.

The third type is solar air conditioners both the products of sunlight will be in use. By heat, the pressure is created and with the panel, electricity is generated and used simultaneously.

The main purpose of solar is to make use of an abundance of the free solar resource, to save power bills and in most of the cases, it is used in remote areas on earth. Where the electric grid connection is not available.
